OB DOC SERES
The Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin in Derry opens its doors to cameras as it prepares to welcome Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, one of the biggest cultural events in Ireland, in 2013.

It is an extraordinary year for the Cultúrlann and for Derry as a whole. In addition to the usual slate of educational and cultural activities the Cultúrlann delivers each year, the staff and volunteers are helping to prepare for the arrival of over 300,000 musicians and visitors to the city for 8 days of music and celebration.

The stakes are especially high as this year the Fleadh is crossing the border for the first time in its storied history. A successful Fleadh could bring the city of Derry together for a party like never before, but, behind the scenes, it will require considerable skills in organisation, teamwork, and crisis management.
